CNAME Records in Shared Hosting
If you have a shared hosting plan from our company and you want to create a CNAME record, it'll take you a few mouse clicks to get it done. You can access the DNS records for all domains and subdomains hosted within your account from the Hepsia Control Panel offered with each plan and adding a new record is as simple as clicking on a button, selecting the type, that will be CNAME in this case, inputting the actual record value and saving the modification. In case you have never added this kind of record before, we have a Help section with a detailed video tutorial which you can watch, or you can simply contact us and we'll assist you with this task. If you have created a website using another provider, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you wish to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, for example Google Apps, all it takes is setting up a CNAME record with a couple of clicks within your Control Panel.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
You're going to be able to set up, modify and delete CNAME records really easy with any one of our semi-dedicated server plans. The accounts are controlled through the custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel, and in one of its sections you'll see all records for every domain name or subdomain which you have added in your account. To set up a new record, you simply have to pick the hostname that will be forwarded (domain/subdomain), enter where it is going to be forwarded to, choose the record type, which will be CNAME in this case, and you will be ready. In case you have never used a web hosting service before, our CP is incredibly easy to use, so you'll not have any troubles. We also have a short video and an in-depth help article concerning how to set up a CNAME record, both of which are located in the exact same section of Hepsia. With this function, you can easily use a domain name hosted on our cutting edge cloud hosting platform for a site created elsewhere, set up a custom webmail login address with any of your domain names, plus much more.
